Presentation-

  • clear instruction of each exercise/activity - image of the fitness card with clear instructions
  • variety
  • positive, motivational energy and logical progression
  • appropriate, lively music in background,
  • text to enhance instructions
  • edited well, no bloopers, no lag time between action
Teamwork-
  • both team members feel their partner contributed equally
  • if conflict arises, team members use their communication skills for resolution

Preparation:

  • Select 3 Functional Fitness Charts you would like to use
  • Write the number of repetitions you would like to perform  - it is a good idea to give a range of repetitions [eg. 8 to 12] so that students of all fitness levels can succeed.
  • Display the Functional Fitness Charts at the beginning of the video. Ensure the image is clear and is accompanied by clear instructions.
  • Demonstrate exercise with correct form.

Suggested Approach:

  • Explain how the activity works and ensure your students are familiar with each exercise before beginning
  • Divide the class into 3 groups
  • Indicate when you want students to transition to the next exercise
  • Stop music to signal the end of the activity
  • Provide a motivational conclusion
