Here's the shocking effect sugar has on your vital organs!

Eating too much sugar is known to cause health problems such as obesity and diabetes. But did you know it's also been linked to brain inflammation and a leaky gut in the digestive system?
Amrita Nutrition (a company that sells nutritional supplements) has created an interactive graphic detailing the immediate, short-term and long-term effects the little white carbohydrate is having on your body.

Touch Rugby- What a game!!!

Touch Rugby is an explosive, fast and skillful game. In this unit, we will focus on the following:

I can use a variety of offensive movements when playing invasion and evasion games.

I can deny the opposing team’s space by moving and covering individual player’s or zones on the field/court using techniques appropriate to the game.

I can make suggestions, share opinion and reflect in ways that express my personality while respecting others.

I can recognize others and celebrate their ideas.

Watch the following video to get a sense of the game. It will help you understand what we are trying to achieve during class:

High Jump Technique

When we teach you to high jump, we always try to get you to do the Fosbury Flop - but there are always students that try to do something else. Have a watch of this - it may help you with your high jump - whatever technique you try. Remember to think springy and jump high.
