What's not to like about candy, ice cream and all those other sweet treats made with everybody's favorite indulgence, sugar?
Plenty, as it turns out. It expands waistlines and causes cavities let alone the links to obesity and diabetes. It's unlikely that many candy-loving, soda-guzzling, processed meal quaffing Americans think about health effects while ingesting an estimated 100 pounds of sugar per year. In fact, many probably are unaware they are consuming as much as they are putting into their bodies.
